The airport welcome was smooth and well-organized. Although we waited about 90 minutes for the speedboat, it was in a comfortable, air-conditioned lounge with a beautiful ocean view — perfect for snapping a photo with the Welcome to Maldives sign. Once your luggage is handed over for the boat transfer, you don’t have to worry about it again – everything is delivered directly to your room. Food was solid – we’d rate it around 8.5/10. There was nothing wrong at all, but we expected a bit more “wow” or something truly special. Beaches are average — not ugly by any means, but sometimes there’s seaweed. Snorkeling is possible right off the beach, but the nearby coral is mostly dead. However, the resort offers two free snorkeling trips by boat every day, which is fantastic. We saw sharks, turtles, and plenty of fish. The sports center is a bit on the pricey side, which is understandable as some trips involve a one-hour speedboat ride. That said, there are many activity options including trial dives and full certification courses. We tried diving with sharks and rays, as well as a 30-minute intro dive — amazing experiences. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The island is also full of adorable Maldivian chickens roaming around, which adds to the charm. Drinks included in the All-Inclusive package were of above-average quality. The spa was absolutely perfect, with massages in a truly stunning setting. We highly recommend downloading their Varu app at least a week before arrival to book dinners and included activities in advance, as spots can be limited — for example, only 8 people per day can join the morning yoga class. The same goes for restaurant dinners: we had to get creative to secure our 3 included dinners, but it worked out! Our favorite was definitely Kaagé. Housekeeping was excellent – twice a day, and the minibar was refilled daily. Absolutely top-notch.

We had an amazing experience here @ Varu by atmosphere. Amazing food, amazing people amazing place. Weather was great for the beach. We booked for 5 nights and it was worth our time and money. First from the airport the agent read my lips that I was saying for VARU :-). We were greeted warmly by, our bags were taken by the agent to the boat. Boat ride was about 45 minutes from the speed boat, I got sea sick :-( When we reached to our Island we were greeted by (Dhool) which was nice gesture. At the counter the agent gave us juice (we were offered wine, but since we don't drink alcohol that's why we asked for juice) At the check in counter we met a staff member "Yasmin". She is a person who took both of us like her babies. She catered us as much as she can. She is the who will help you and provide you comfort as much is possible. I can't thank her enough for helping us out till the end of our trip. Even she came especially in the boat to see us off (you can't forget her smiling face) "Lime and Chili" This is the place where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have different theme for every meal and it different on different days. We had live paratha, Alo paratha, puri, dhoosa on different days in breakfast plus they have all kinds of food available. Lunch was also awesome sometime they have live grill going on cooking, burger, kebab, tuna, plus different salads on salad bar, sushi, different kinds of veg and non veg food like goat, chicken and tuna. Different kinds of sweet like pastries, custard, fruits etc Dinner is also awesome in a same way that, they have live food cooking like, kebabs or thai food or local Maldivian food or fresh naan, paratha or kulcha. etc. In every meal, we can ask for any kinds of drinks which we can't even imagine. "Kaage" (Local food restaurant) Moosa server, We had amazing experience "3 course meal" which includes, chicken, beef and tuna.

Great resort and all-inclusive package overall. It’s more of an entry level 5-star (i.e. not super luxe) but very good value for money. Rooms and grounds were beautiful and well designed. The overwater villa with pool is worth the extra spend if you can. The location is easy to get to being 45 mins direct from the airport by a comfortable air conditioned boat. Staff were attentive, friendly and hard working. We visited during a busy period and there were no issues with service. It was easy contacting the team to make bookings for restaurants and activities before the trip too. Food and drink were good and plentiful. Lime & Chilli had decent quality and variety (some staples with different specials on rotation). Bay Rouge and Charcoal were nice and in beautiful settings. Kaage was a real standout, both in deliciousness and experience. We were pleasantly surprised by the broad selection and generally good quality of wines and cocktails and how generous staff were with servings. In terms of activities, the boat excursions and non motorised water sports offered were fun. The spa was lovely, bonus points for having a small glass window under the massage table so you could watch fish and baby sharks swim by. We scuba dived with the dive centre Koamas which has nice equipment, and staff were professional and looked after us well including setting up the gear.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Varu a 5-star resort, and I have to say that my experience was absolutely flawless. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure that I felt welcomed and comfortable. The resort itself was stunning, with beautifully landscaped ocean view, garden and pool that were perfect for relaxing in the sunshine. The room that I stayed in was also top-notch, with all of the amenities that you could possibly need for a comfortable and luxurious stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and well-appointed with ocean view. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the food from anü restaurant. The resort had a range of restaurants and cafes that offered everything from fine dining to casual snacks, and everything that I tried was delicious. The breakfast buffet was especially impressive, with a huge variety of dishes to choose from at Lime & chili restaurant. Overall, I would highly recommend this 5-star resort to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway. From the impeccable service to the stunning surroundings and delicious food, everything about my stay was absolutely perfect!

Food far surpassed my expectations. The culinary team at the resort does a fantastic job at keeping the menu feeling fresh (even on longer stays). There was also live music just about every night during dinner which was a nice touch. The spa provided the best massage I received in my life. Highly recommended! We loved our room and the views. Everything was comfortable and all facilities worked as you would expect. Cleaning staff did an amazing job throughout our stay. The staff at the dive center also were professional and took us to some of the best snorkeling spots I could dream of. Be conscious that some of the water villas have less privacy than others due to the layout of the cul-de-sacs. Upon check in the staff were able to move us to a more private room which met our expectations for privacy. We also had a late flight out on the checkout day. The staff were able to keep us busy for that day and provide facilities which had a shower and food while we waited for the late boat back to the airport. I would 100% recommend the resort and would go again!
